Typical for Gouger Mountain....... The One manager at Eden Prairie ( PAT) has caused me to swear off ever going to any Gouger Mountain. Although, I will break my own rule occasionally in Lakeville and up in Rogers. Occasionally, GM has a decent sale on clothing....

Alas - the kids' tuition bills must come first. Once that is done, then I will see an increase in my firearm budget :)

Make your kid pay his own tuition like my dad makes me pay my own way ;)

I have a contact in TN that will ship an SR-1911 (Full size or Commander) to your FFL ( I use Arnzen Arms in Eden Praire because they charge $20 up to 5 guns at one time) for $649.00
I plan to order one after the first of the year, and once I am back on my feet. I have researched 1911's quite a bit and so far, haven't found a better deal than the Ruger, considering how it is configured.

I feel your pain/pleasure. I shot a 1911 (Kimber Stainless II) for the first time late last year. I couldn't get over how natural the gun felt. I now own two. Sis has one. Two brother-in-laws shoot 1911s. Dad is a long time adherent. Figure he'll gift my wife with one soon. Got my eye on the Ruger. Enjoy :)
