Sight tool?

Postby JeffD on Sun Mar 09, 2014 9:48 am

Does anyone have a sight tool they want let me use? ;) Actually, I am looking at buying my own. I just picked up a Range Officer and the front sight is not exactly what I'm looking for. This is one I've seen and looks nice. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/419868 ... ation-tool

Does anyone have any opinions or other ideas? I don't mind spending money on a good tool, but I also know that expensive does not always mean good.

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

is this something you plan on doing a bunch? otherwise you could probably have a gunsmith do it? I find when I buy a specialty tool I spend more time lending it out and chasing it down then using it.

I have an older version of the one JeffD linked to. It's been an excellent investment and I've been able to adjust all but one sight(a Para that just wouldn't budge) on various makes. I would probably be about even taking the guns into a 'smith, but counting the extra time/travel and getting it dialed in 100% while at the range I'm money ahead.

I have the sightpusher tool that JeffD posted if you ever want to use it. I have the gunsmith kit.

Scratch, Mind if I take you up on this offer sometime?
Speed is Fine, Accuracy is final....but accurate hits at extremely high speed is final much faster.
I don't think you understand, these boys killed my dog!
Taking the gun off safe increases the velocity by 100%

+1 same tool here with opt blocks... works on all I've tried without fail (nice to have a vice as well)
