Nah, more like how a burglar looks to a Papua cannibal. Catch someone who doesn't belong in your home and can then be the basis of a meal.
The best deterrent to wolf/dog problems seems to be a beeper collar left on the movement mode. Those beeps every couple of seconds seems to give warning to the wolves something is amiss and the move away from the obvious human noise.
It seems to work well enough that I haven't had any wolf/dog issues over the last half dozen even with a wolf den a quarter mile from the rear door of the cabin near which we walk regularly over the summer. I do carry a firearm "just in case" but everyone seems to know, understand, and obey the rules well enough to get along.
Now I just have to place a new rule against the wolves peeing on the main door of the cabin, it tends to get my dogs doing the same.
