Moonclips...

Postby Rodentman on Fri May 02, 2014 5:18 pm

I got my order of moonclips from TK Custom for the 986. It is nice that they engrave the S&W model # so you don't use them in the 610 or 625:

And it's nice they tell you it's a 7 shot so you know how many rounds to load.

Did you order the stainless or blue? I see the price of stainless is double.

I have a bid on gunbroker for a 986.
A few 1911's, two crazy boxers, a fast car and a half fast driver.

I thought moonclips were the safety pins the Rodentwoman used to keep the rip in the seat of your underwear from getting any bigger.... :P :P :P :P :P :P

Sam, I am seriously becoming alarmed by your obsession with my weight and my underwear. Neither of them are very attractive, especially the latter, hence my concern.

Mine arrived yesterday, I bought the blue clips, they seem very well made. The 986 ships tomorrow, should be in my hands by the end of the week.

Note: The ejector rod on mine was loose and would bind the cylinder until I took it out and put lock tight on it.
