Galloway really is a 'mom and pop' shop. It appears they try to run a very principled business. I was interested in a +1 mag extension for Kel-Tec PF-9.

The OEM version is just so-so. Galloway designed a +1 and after 2 'generations' of design pulled the product as not feasable. They upgraded for free Version 1 purchasers but ultimately pulled the product.

Superfast customer service. They make a lot of performance / nusiance-fix parts like improved trigger bars, springs, custom guide rods etc. Check em out: http://gallowayprecision.com/

The OEM looked good but had an interference between the extension and the grip that too often lead to the mag coming lose...amateur 'gunsmiths' got out the Dremel to increase clearance but that was a permanent modification to the weapon. I have 2 but no longer use them....

Just returned from having a new trigger installed in my Bodyguard 380. IMHO, anyone who has shot this gun knows about the LONG and HEAVY trigger pull. My wife could never pull the trigger all the way back. In one of Hickock45's latest videos, he mentioned Galloway Precision's trigger upgrade for the BG380. That was enough for me to plop down some money and see if I could make the trigger an better pull. I didn't have time to shoot today, but I'll fire some rounds down range over the weekend and see if my investment paid off...

How did it go? I'm tempted to install the Galloway trigger in my Kel-Tec PF-9.

I fully expected a mention of how it felt after dry firing. I for the most part can tell if I like a trigger without going to the range.

FWIW from my experience with the company there's no way they'd be spamming a gun board to drum up business, if that was a concern. :)

I bought a full spring kit for the cheapy S&W sigma for my father... The .40 had quite a bit of barrel flip and he wasn't very consistent to get back on target... Galloway hooked me up with some new trigger springs, and a new recoil spring, and stainless guide rod... Viola, it's like a new gun... He is way more accurate with it, and enjoys shooting it now... So back to the question why would someone buy a gun that needs "work" right out of the box...? Because buying a used $200 sigma, adding $60 in Gucci parts, and having a heck of a truck gun, it just makes sense to me... Its stainless and polymer, can live in the weather elements, goes bang every time... Would I compare it to my Sig Sauer Nightmare 1911, or S&W 686, no... But for under $275, now it's a heck of a piece...

Long story short, I dig Galloway Precision, and their products and would recommend to anyone, to check them out and have something they want different on one of their their Tupperware guns, give them a try...

My original question to the OP was why buy a NEW gun and immediately start swapping parts. I fully understand getting a USED gun and doing that. Yes, you will save some $$$ going the used gun route. :)

And my question was, could it be possible that the OP was a noob and just went by the LGS recommendation? Or maybe it was ok for him but the wife didn't like it? How many times have we heard that? Nowhere in the original post did he say he made modifications immediately, btw. From his picture, his gun is the old model (with laser). They don't sell that anymore. He referenced a hickock video. I happened to see that one also. That vid was released a few days before his post. He did say he got the idea for his mod from that.

I find it really disturbing how that member was treated here.......

Yeah, perhaps I didn't have all the info. I assumed he bought it new, not used. I also never attacked him...just wonder why?

Do you really expect him to come back after some of these posts that accused him of being a troll?

Best way to show otherwise.
