22 TCM

Postby maddhunter on Mon Nov 24, 2014 12:58 pm

Cabelas has a Rock Island 1911 in 9mm as part of their Black Friday Doorbuster promotion. The pistol comes with a conversion kit for .22TCM. Have done some research on the web as far as origin of cartridge, etc. My question is does anyone have any first hand experience with using the caliber and reloading for the same. Thanks for the info.

As an update, I'm had no trouble once Oldman showed me how to adjust the resizing die properly. It's a fun little cartridge and having the 9mm alternative is a plus!

I don't have any experience reloading it, but I can tell you it's a blast to shoot. That's a really good price too.

I stopped in tonight to look one over before the big day on Friday. The gun manager said he did not have any in stock was not sure they would get any in time. His excuse was the ad is nation wide and some stores have the stuff others don't. Either he is an idiot or the guy printing the ads is. Why run an ad for product they don't have - just going to piss of customers.

Thanks for saving me the trip.

I shredded my cabelas card a few months back, and haven't cancelled it because they have some sweet deals from time to time. My new hunting jacket was $200 off at the employee discount card member event last week.

The TCM combo at that price is a killer deal. Too bad about 50 people will get it.
