CZ P-07 Duty.

After 3 years of putting one of these on the "pistols to purchase" list I can finally cross this one off.

This one is the model with the factory installed night sights. It also has the factory installed safety with no decocker with the gun. The standard model came with the decocker installed and you had to swap out for the manual safety. It also has a extended barrel. It's not a threaded barrel. Which at first when I saw this gun in my dealers case kinda turned me off. Why make a barrel that poked out past the slide if I can't thread anything on it? But after a year of them having the gun in stock and finally getting the price down to a point where I really couldn't say no. Came with two 15 round magazines. I purchased two additional 16 round mags with the gun. Plus 200 rounds of 9mm. And I got all that for less than the price of a Gen4 Glock 19.

Owning striker fire semi auto 9mm handguns this is my first hammer fired one since my Tri Star T120 (which I didn't care for that much) I did run a magazine though it tonight to get a feel for the handgun. Trigger isn't too bad for a da/sa hammer gun. I also love the ergonomics of the gun. Just fits my hand well.

Looking forward to doing some target shooting with it this weekend and see what kind of groups I can get out of it.

Grats :)

Did you want the safety over the decocker?

This was the only CZ they had in stock. I've always liked the look of the P-07 Duty. I held one a couple years ago and hated the Glock style factory sights. The night sights on this particular model are a nice upgrade. For only $429 for the pistol alone was a pretty good bargain imo.

It seems very nice, never even held one, heard good things though. :)

I do like 9mms they seem more accurate for me.

Love the lines of the P-07 Duty. I know there is a updated P-07 but the looks of the original design give it a classic look.

Totally get that, I love 1911, marlin levels, and some of the old cowboy revolvers (don't have any of the last).

With hogue grips the 1911 just feels like it belongs in my hand :D. I should try to get one again some day, wonder if I could build one?

Nice piece, Phatspeed! I picked up a P-07 a couple years ago, and that was the beginning of my CZ addiction. I've since added an SP-01 Tactical and a 97BD to my collection. Next on my list are a 2075BD RAMI, an 85 Combat, and a pre B 75, in that order. I have a hard time keeping an open mind about other handguns since I discovered how incredibly awesome CZ's are...

I recently bought a CZ75 SP01 Shadow and it's rapidly become one of my favorites. In fact I had it at the range today. Very accurate and great fun!

Nice pickup!

I already have a couple CZ's, but am looking for a 9mm and something different. I'm weighing the P-07 vs the P-09.

I hope to do some accuracy testing after work with it.

5 shot group at 25 yards. Pulled the last shot away from the group. Not bad for still getting use to the trigger.

That is the polymer framed handgun for concealed carry that I would pick if I have the money for one. A friend and his wife both have the P-07 duty pistol, and they are nice shooters. The magazines are a little spendy, and I have not seen non-factory mags(i.e. MecGar ) out yet.
