I jumped on the bandwagon, picked up a shiny new VP9 a few weeks ago from Southwest Arms. Shot it a few times and then sent it off to Bill Springfield for trigger work as it will be my primary training firearm. Lighten up the trigger pull, cleaned up the break very nicely, trigger reset is better now and had the barrel fitted to the slide and frame. Shoots great, just need to make a new holster for it with and without the Streamlight on it.

Do you have a lot of rounds downrange with the Streamlight WML?

Anyone know if Bill's Gun Shop has one for rent?

No, we dont. Probably won't have one for a while yet, Joe will be able to answer that part a bit better.

Too bad, since the web site says VP9 at all three Bill's locations.

Maybe Bill's was able to acquire some VP9's since July, when that post was made. Are you saying that they don't have them available for rent yet?

I only have about 250 rounds through mine with a TLR-1s mounted. No issues with the shooting, range ammo PMC Bronze. I haven't tried carrying it with the light attached.

I'm trying to narrow down the life of the TLR-1 before they go TU from recoil. Trying to see if anyone has any extreme round counts on them. Same with the X300s.

Ah. I've had the TLR-1 a few years, but it only has about 500-600 rounds through it between my M&P, PPQ, and now the VP9. I've been through about 3-4 battery changes with it. It works fine for my use, which is pretty occasional and not particularly demanding.

Great price on that LE version! I paid $600 for mine plain ol' version with the two magazines.

Yeah. The meprolite night sights are a nice upgrade. The extra magazine is also a nice bonus considering mags for h&k pistols are more than your average handgun. I was able to shoot about 50 rounds though it this afternoon. Shoots really well. It's been awhile since I've shot anything but a Glock. The gun performed flawless. I do love the texture on the grip. Feels awesome in your hand. Will have to do some more shooting and give my full report later. H&K really did well here.

My holster already shipped. Should see it Friday. Then I can start carrying this German beauty.

HK VP9

Postby PHATSPEED7x on Thu Dec 25, 2014 10:48 am

Just a quick update on my VP9. Been carrying it for about two weeks with the new fury holster. Conceals really well under my NorthFace jacket. Round count is just over 100 with no problems. The trigger is amazing. One of the best striker fire triggers I've shot to date. Can't compare it to a Walther PPQ because I haven't shot one. But they say it's very close.

Here is a 5 shot group I shot at 7 yards rapid fire.

Probably about 1500 rounds between the new VP9 and the USP45F, has been working great. Seems rock solid, bright, good battery life and plenty bright for the night courses I've taken. Fits perfectly on the VP9, the USP is a bit different but I got it to fit with a bit of milling, but that's another story.
