41 magnum revolver recommendation

Postby fine ape on Fri Aug 26, 2016 6:26 pm

Got a box of mixed reloading items the other day and got dies, brass and bullets for the 41 mag.
Already setup to reload for pistol.

Thinking of a 4 inch, just for fun gun.
Own rugers, S&W, taurus
What revolver in 41 magnum would you recommend.

Wanna buy a 41 Action Express semi-auto and the brass to go with it?? It's the only other pistol that uses the same bullets!! Plus it's fun to shoot!!!

You cannot go wrong with a pre-lock Model 57 Smith & Wesson.

Henry is making 41 Mag lever gun now which is also kind of interesting

In a single-action, Ruger still makes the 4.6" Blackhawk

Otherwise the S&W 57 is the one to have. They still make it in their "Classic" line. Not cheap.

41 magnum revolver recommendation

I wouldn't mind a ruger revolver: http://www.ruger.com/products/redhawk/s ... /5031.html

Of course, I'm still waiting for more 10 mm revolvers to come out.

If cost was no option, .41 magnum would be my choice of revolver.

My favorite wheelgun is a S&W 657 Hunter .41 Mag from the custom shop. Beats my pythons in accuracy, and is a hoot to shoot.

Its probably the most accurate handgun I own.

My dad gave me his model 57 no dash its ok. ammo is expensive personally id never buy one sense the 44 magnum is around, ammo is way cheaper and easier to find. it turns heads when I shoot it, but then again when I shoot my 40 cal people complain about the noise on that also.

My 41 mag T/C is one of my favorites and a certified bear and hog gun. With appropriate backup of course.

Shooting a 41 at this point is not about cheap ammo or hitting power it is more a nostalgic experience.

Kind of like upland bird hunting with a sub-gauge SxS, if you need to explain it to someone they will never understand.

Single action revolver...the Ruger Blackhawk can't be beat! Double action revolver...go for the Smith and Wesson. :D

Have both, don't think you can go wrong with either.

41 magnum revolver past due update

Postby fine ape on Tue Nov 15, 2016 3:51 pm

Went to the Hutchinson gunshow and saw two smith M57. One pre lock and one from the classic line, both were 6" and a little more than i was willing to pay.

So a little while later i found this.

Possible review to follow.
