Stuart got back to me. He recommended looking at the slide stop. The next time I shoot with my brother I will drop his into my gun to see if that solves the problem.

Note that the recoil springs for the Browning Hi-Power fit and function perfectly in the full-size CZ pistols.

I have some NOS Pratt Whitney R-4360 Valve Springs, that might stiffen it up a bit :cogitating:

The way my back feels some days, I think they put in some very Old worn out springs. Probably WWII Vintage

Ok, My Brother swung by today on his way to the LGS(lucky duck got to pick up a 97B). He brought over his 75b and I checked his for the same the slide drop. His would drop with the gun held at a 45 degree angle with a solid tap to the mag well with out the mag. Switched slide stops and the same thing occurred. Holding the gun in a more vertical position the slide seemed to stay put no matter how hard I tapped on it. Since my brother has less rounds through his gun, and both behaved similar fashion,Plus CS Tunes survey of his pistols ;), I am going to chalk this up to a change in my mechanics and not worry about it. I am going to order a new recoil spring, because I am in the ballpark of needing a new one anyways. If that does change anything, which I now doubt it will, I will let you guys know.

Thanks for the replies-pretty interesting when you get the collective gun knowledge flowing.
