Coonan... whats all the hype about?

The full size runs better. Compact seems more ammo fussy and is less accurate.

One thing you do not want to do with a Coonan is shoot it at night...

Unless you are using some sort of low flash powder I suppose...

Good idea. Even with indoor lights the flash obscured the target for a moment.

Pat just fills the case to the rim with Titegroup, jams a big azz boolit into it to compress the powder and crimps the crap out of it. He then goes to the Steel Shoots and kicks many semi-auto shooters with his GP-100 (myself included).

He does it in style too....big cloud of smoke when he's done firing :gun:

Don't listen to him! I do use Titegroup for gamer loads and it is kinda smoky, but filling a .357 case could give you easily a triple load. BOOM, the bad kind.

But with H110 and a 125 gr slug, you can indeed full that baby pretty much to the top. That's what that 22 grain load is, and it is compressed, a little. But I've only shot that a few times at the steel shoots—it's expensive and it hurts my hand to shoot with wood grips.

Also, I usually only beat a few of the semi-auto folks. But it's fun.
