Sorry, but I'm not going to buy in to ANY of those ridiculous absolutist statements that you're making in hopes that they will somehow be viewed as as irrefutable facts. There was a good reason I've had you on IGNORE for several years now, and obviously nothing has changed. Flap you lips all you want. I ain't listening, and IIRC everybody else was pretty tired of you the last time I checked...

The troll has spoken.

obviously, your thick skull will stop a .357 slug out of a 2" snubby.

I won't care to try.

With your logic, that means a .22 LR is worthless as well. Care to catch a slug from one of those as well?

A bad shot with a 50 will always be better then a bad shot with a 357. Bullet size does have a considerable amount to add in..... hit a deer in the leg with a 22 it will still run away. hit one with a 50bmg it wont run away.

we aren't talking about a deer hunting gun.

The OP was talking a self-defense gun with a .38 special 2" snubby revolver.

used in the environment it's intended for.

a bad shot with a .500 S&W will be just as ineffective as a bad shot with a .357 out of a 2" snubby.

this is not true, bullet size does matter.................. that's not a good reference at all to use

Hitting someone in the arm with a .500 will be as effective as a .357.

same with a leg or other bad placement.

regardless of what you hit them with.

Nothing will stop a bad guy in that position.

so you're going to claim that hitting a bad guy in the arm with a .500 S&W is going to be a one-shot stopping power?

have you seen the 500 s&w round? It makes my 50ae look small. You get hit in the arm with a 50 you'll be a cripple in the arm, leg you'll defiantly never walk right again if your able to. Like I said you reference to a 50cal to a 9mm is not a very good one.

and I said....

A hit to the arm will NOT stop or kill them.

I never said it wouldn't wound them.

But it will not stop them dead in their tracks. They will still have fight in them.

This isn't the movies where it will blow a person 15' backwards when they get hit.

Wow, I'd like to see that.

Wing shoot someone and they simply fall down and are totally immobilized.

SS, your 38 special data is garbage.

Even with a 158g 38spl load out of my 1.875" J/frame will clear 700-750fps.

Using a +p load you are closer to 850fps or faster.

Bad data in, bad data out. You are using TKO as a baseline, but any rational person can see that the formula is artificially weighted towards billets of large diameter. I mean seriously, how can you look anyone in the face and (based on TKO) argue that 45acp is more effective than 357 Mag?

This is clearly a case of confirmation bias.
