a. Unscrew the vertical adjustment screw all the way and remove it.
b. Knock out the roll pin at the front of the sight. It's not a big pain like most roll pins.
c. Remove the two screws holding the sight to the slide, and clean off the threads and dry that area.
d. Apply BLUE Loctite to screws and reassemble.
2. The recoil spring is of the same geometry as Tanfoglio (EAA) pistols, and the same number of turns. The way they change the spring weight is by using larger or smaller wire diameters. The stock spring appears to be 18 pounds, and if you want to stiffen up the action you can throw in a 22# Wolff spring to shoot hotter ammo.
3. Yes, Yukonjasper is right, this gun is set up like the iconic Browning Hi-Power and all Tanfoglios and EAA's, so the barrel sits very deep in the V between your thumb and fingers. It makes one hell of a difference in felt recoil.
4. Ran across an interesting but very obscure news snippet that EAA helped the Turks set up the production line for the SAR line of pistols. That pretty much sold me on getting one. The trigger group looks to be pure Tanfoglio.
5. The first time you shoot a full load of 15 rounds, you keep asking yourself "When the F**K is this thing gonna run dry????"
