Picked up the new Tupperware today

Postby INOR on Fri Jun 15, 2018 2:48 pm

Stopped in at Burnsville Pistol Range today and picked up the Glock 17 Gen 4 I just ordered from PSA. Ran a hundred rounds or so through it. Shoots nice!

I was sure that my first Glock would be a G19gen5 but this one was too good of a deal to pass. If I bought a G19 or G26, it would be Gen 5 as I don’t like the finger grooves on the more compact guns. But they don’t bother me a bit on the full size.

Love the sights on this thing! It’s a Talo edition and has an Ameriglo front post. Super easy aimpoint.

Will have to do a back to back comparison to my M&P40. Not apples to apples but both full size anyways.

The Glock speedloader is ****. Prefer to use my uplula.

Now what to do with this thing? I normally keep my handguns operationally stock. But this one is getting **** with.

I picked up mine today as well.

Did you notice the $299 rifle kits at PSA for Father's day?

I really do like the sights. I will run a few hundred through it this weekend.

I saw this deal too, but passed. $499 plus a bunch of pmags, if my memory serves me right. Best deal I’ve ever seen on a G17. Talo edition, too. Nice. Congrats. May you never really need it.

If I didn't recently pick up a Gen5 on trade, that deal would have gotten me too :)

Took my Tupperware out to shoot side by side today:

I like the sights. I can't really tell much difference between this Gen 4 and my Gen 3 Glocks in terms of shooting. That's good I guess.

The recoil spring assembly appears to be light years ahead of the older style.

The three stripped lowers called to me, and a $299 PSA M4 kit is on the way. Time to have a beater AR to shoot cheap steel cased ammo through.

Although that rifle kit is likewise calling to me, I’m holding off for now. Those stripped lowers will be safe queens for a while until I figure out an application for them. I already had one stripped lower in the safe.

I went with the olive drab kit.

I plan on shooting crappy steel cased through it.

Should be great for when I bring new shooters out. Let em blast away with a red dot.
