22LR trainer for Walther PPS M2?

Postby IvanTheTerribleShot on Mon Jan 18, 2021 11:02 am

I recently got a Walther PPS M2, and was looking for a trainer 22LR pistol of a similar size. PP22Q looked like a viable option... until I learned that it's prohibited in Minnesota because of its zinc alloy slide (really, Walther?).

What other options are there that feel more or less like PPS and are of the same size? Ruger SR22? S&W M&P 22? Thanks!

Lots that get screwed by our low melting point (1000 compared to 800 for most states) BUT I have seen lots of them in different gun shops. Chiappa and other 22's are in that group. Even Heritage revolvers can't come to MN but you see those in gun shops. My FFL has no problem transfering them.

But gross misdemeanor...? OK. A case of "severity of laws being balanced by their non-obligatory execution", I see.

I thought he solved that? Or wait, he would have but I think it was our fault somehow that it did not pass. Sorry.
