I would take a Kel-tec any day over an LCP. Much easier to hold on to then the LCP, drop safe and very reliable.

Also have her check out Bersa Thunder 380.

As long as she carries something that is the first step and first rule to "Have a Gun!"

What about the Walther PPK? If you're thinking .380, why not a classic!

My wife carry's a Taurus model 85 bobbed hammer with crimson trace grips. I have given up trying to get her to upgrade to a semi auto or even a smith. She thinks a firearm is just a tool and the one she has works for the job. I have learned that you have to let her pick out her tool and live with it. :deadhorse:

Will do... I am little nervous that she will shoot the LCP and hate it because its so harsh... I don't want her to be scared to shoot it, ya know?

Those hogue grips will fit the lcp too. Best ~$10 you can spend. Seriously. A little trimming and it'll make a world of difference.

Initial thoughts on the LCP and G27.

Glock... LOVE the factory night sights, a must have for only $50 more. I am a XD guy. The glock was just a little bit more "concealable" than the XD40 sub compact. I really like the triggers on the Xd better. I guess I will report back after shooting. cabelas price $609
Also want to add one more thing I am less that thrilled about. there is no external indication weather the gun has one in the chamber or is cocked. On my XD45 there is a pin you can only see when it is cocked and a small piece of metal sticks up on the slid when there is one in the chamber. It makes me uncomfortable.

The LCP... I have to say I felt the quality was better than the 3AT. I think the trigger was a little better on the keltec but what sold us was being able to lock the slide open and the clip extension came with the package. Again I will report back after shooting! cabelas price $389(?)

The glock does have a loaded chamber indicator and also a roostering indicator. The extractor sticks out a little from the fram ala the h&k line when there is one in the chamber and the trigger is in the forward position when it is roostered.
Aside from those we always can go back to the commandments "Is the gun loaded and capable of firing and killing someone......................Yes, yes it is"

GLOCK ADVANTAGE

LOADED CHAMBER INDICATOR
The user has always been able to read important parameters off his GLOCK pistol at a glance.
Trigger forward = safety activated.
Trigger pulled = safety deactivated.
The pistol also shows the user whether a cartridge is in the barrel or not. The extractor also serve as a loaded chamber indicator on all GLOCK pistols – and this entirely without additional components. Visual and palpable extractor edge.
Figure top = unloaded.
Figure bottom = loaded

You could always RTFM. It's very detailed. Congrats on your wife's new pistols.
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
