Nope i didnt get lucky, $300 is their used price on all used glocks, and has been for as long as i remember. The new price they charge is $389.20 for a g17which is for LEO or industry professionals or GSSF members only, the used price is available to everyone however. If you want to go to sportsmans Warehouse go right ahead the are a good retailer too, however the extra $200 is better spent on extra ammo for me. I apoligise for the way responded, I shouldn't have phrased it like that. The truth of the matter is that law enforcement do complete a cetain amount of training, but generally the average civillian that has an interest in the shooting sports or firearms in general puts a lot more lead downrange on an average year. Police weapons rarely see anything more than bi-yearly qualification and thusly even though may be subject to more than average wear and tear on the outside but remain pretty great condition on the inside. This does not apply to every officer but is the truth for the majority.

For carry, a Glock 19 (small 9mm with 'high' capacity [i might call it normal capacity but whatever]). For a house gun / camping gun a Sig.

I'll second or third or where ever I am on the list on the Sig 226 or 229 9MM. Forget the Glock.

A Glock is fine if not outstanding if you don't have issue with the slight difference in grip angle. After a few minutes (i.e. 25-50 rounds) of practice, I can switch between a 1911 and a Glock; however, I shoot tighter groups with the 1911, although this may be in part to the match grade barrel on my 1911 that is not stock with a Glock.

Make the effort to show up at some of the events, really this is an outstanding group of people, except for a few, like Straddie, Pipewrench, Munchie, Vlad, Mac, HammAR, CMJ, JAC, the whole westberg clan, Jgalt, Seismic, Pat Cannon, Dean, the Mall Cop, and a few others, but really, its a pretty good group,
