Anybody have a reflex sight on a 22?

I've got a C-more on the race gun and a Burris on the 625, but both seem to be alittle over kill for a 22.

Recomendations?

I've got the cheap Sightmark on a Ruger MkIII. Had it for about a year or so?? Works fine if the sun isn't shining on you, then it washes out and you can't see the dot.
Works OK for the price, hardly weighs anything.

I have a Primary Arms reflex on my mark iii 22/45. It is a knock off of the Burris Fast Fire. The price was right and it is pretty fast for plinking. The dot is way too big if you're looking for any sort or precision. If minute of rabbit or minute of pop can is your goal, the PA reflex is just fine. Battery life seems a little short.

I have one similar to the above on a Mark I (or is it II?). Improved my shooting pretty well right off the bat. I like it.

I have a JPoint on a 10/22. Lot of fun, particularly for beginners (sighting is easy). A bit difficult to sight in. Batteries last for a long time. Not really what you call "precision" shooting. Cost almost as much as the rifle. Weighs nothing. Dot disappears on anything vaguely red or orange (dot is orange). Works great for two-eyes open shooting.

I picked up a Bushnell 1x28 reddot scope tonight. It has 4 recticles styles, 11 levels of brightness, and is both red and green illumination. I'll get it mounted tomorrow and take it to the range for a report. I tried the 5moa dot on the bushnell first strike and it was just to big, the 3moa dot on this model seemed much better for 22 targets.

It is a reflex, the tube sights although they don't look like one are actually reflex also. I would have gone wiht one smaller ones but I wanted a 3moa dot and the only one I could find with any quality was the Burris like I have on my 625 and thats about $250. More than I wanted to spend. I also have a C-More on my race gun but again those are in that same price range.

OK, this thing is awesome. Way more accurate than my old eyes. All the parts are here to put the 2lb trigger in this weekend. Going to be great range toy.

Glad you found one you liked. Looks nice on that pistol.

I went with a smaller profile reflex sight...from Burris, their Fast Fire II model. It weighs in at just 1.6 ounces. I bought it before the had the Fast Fire III on the market. If I were doing it again, I would probably get the III has it has some nice updates on it.

I have a Fast Fire III and was going to suggest that. It was on a M&P 15-22 for a while, but the 3MOA dot was just a little big for longer distances. I was going to try the sight on my Mk II next, but haven't got around to it yet.

I've also go the Burris III, mine is on a 625, a a C-more on the race gun. I like both, but wanted something different for the Mark. I figured for a 22 recoil would not be an issue and always wanted to try a tube sight. I think it will hold up OK, tried the 4 different recticles the 3moa dot is my prefered but the crosshairs where interesting on a few targets. The red and green also worked well for different target colors and lighting. Overall pretty happy so far.
