I see that Arnzen has a couple Rock Island 9mm.22TCM pistols. Now that's something I really need to start reloading. Am I gonna buy one. Uh, no. Do you think I am nuts? Wait, don't answer that.

I'm so glad to be poor, as that's really the only thing stopping me from buying one.

I picked up a used Rock Island 9mm 1911 a few months back. After, I researched and found the TCM existed. Checked to see if I could get the barrel for my gun but no go. Wouldn't mind having one still. I read finding ammo is hard too though.

Buy it.

Not that I 'need' one but what are they asking for one.

The switch barrel kit was in the 550ish range at other shops. Arnzen has had good pricing from what I've seen.

Looks like $639 for one with both barrels:

They have ammo too, though only 2 boxes @ $23.39 a box:

I really want to get a 9mm 1911 and have been looking at the rock island.

And what hammered squirel said, atomic tactical had a nice stack of 22TCM on the counter yesterday when I was there.

Hmm.....I didn't think there was a positive vibe for this caliber. The 5.7 seems to get panned. Not that they're the same. Of course I know that some folks will make brass by cutting down 223's. I'm not that smart.

Also I read that the 223 bullets, even at 40g, are too long and a special bullet is needed.

It's a reloaders caliber for sure. It also looks like it could be a ton of fun.

It is fun and now I need to find a barrel for one of mine. Assuming having one made isn't insanely cost prohibitive.

Looks like reamers have been available for a while.

I brought it up to Nathan yesterday, he gave me a couple of ideas where to call. Tuesday can't come fast enough.
