This thread has made me rethink my carry gun now. My sr9c probably doesn't have enough power. If I'm going to be safe, I better start carrying my super redhawk and a speed reloader. One would think that is better through windshields than a .357 sig right? Anyone make an insride the waist band holster for a super redhawk?

IIRC, Redhawks are meant to be carried "Mexican"! Image

Why is that? I thought you wanted to see the results of me trying out the 357 Sig? That's it, I'm starting a poll for it.

I was only curious as to why ya thought it'd be more "interesting" than a .40 ... ya already answered that ... thanks, again!

I'm sure ya'll love the .357 Sig! ... moreso, if ya actually bought a new one! ;)

I bought a 357Sig Bbl for my Glock 23 as there were a few FED guys that told me they performed a lot better through windshields. So ok I go spend the money on an aftermarket bbl, get some Remington 125 gr hollowpoints and give it a try.

As for performance, I would have to trust some people because I don't have a lot of windshields to test the deflection and malformation. All I know is the recoil is sharp, fast and hard. I would not recommend it for those with arthritis. I think I can shoot faster and more accurately with the 40 than the 357Sig, but that is my perception. I do believe that in a scenario with cars the 357Sig would be better, but I would rather have my 40 otherwise.

I take 357Sig on road trips, use 40 S&W otherwise. I have been considering getting a 357Sig bbl for my G35.

Edit: both do fine on milk jugs!!

Must be amature hour around here. I never go less than my BFR in 45-70 405 grain hard cast lead loaded to marlin specs. See how that stacks up to your .357 sig specs. Was not on your poll.

I'm thinking this would still be too small:

Just to be clear this was a Gopher Bar Gun breakfast so the clientele was all MNguntalkers and overthe top open carry is not out the the norm. Beleive it or not, it was concealed until I walked in. ;)
