Well, many thanks to the persistence of westhope, he manufacture what I needed, twice. I say twice because the first were lost in the mail, I got an empty package with a small hole in the corner.
First picture is of the safety training firing pin next to the stock firing pin. As you can see, the orange stands out and the metal or striker end is much short, but long enough to guide the firing pin spring. Also the shortness, but more important the diameter will not allow it to fit through the firing pin hole in the frame and strike a primer. Again, I use factory safety rounds for malfunction clearing drills in class, this safety firing pin is just another precaution among many.
The second picture is of it installed in a 1911. I was going to put my attempt of a safety firing pin that I have been using in the picture, but even I could not bring myself to embarrass myself that much.
