Ok, I sold a Mosquito to a customer and she is having realtively regular feeding issues. Has anyone else had similar issues with a Mosquito and if so, do you have any suggestions on a remedy.

Thanks for the help.

A friend of mine, who I call "Mr Sig", had one and had nothing but feeding problems with it.

Best solution, trade it in for something that works.

Thanks Rip, but I am hoping to not have to figure out how to make a customer do that.

I'll blame ammo too. Also make sure the mag is seated well.

What ammo is being shot through it now?

Had one  Only thing it would shoot was CCI Stinger

Same case for my 4" Buckmark.

I think it's best to avoid semi auto .22lr handguns with barrels less than 5 inches, they never seem to work with anything but stingers.

We ran several different types of ammo through it. After doing some checking, it looks like Sig shipped the gun with the wrong spring. They send two, a light one and a heavier one. They say that it ships with the heavier, but that does not seem to be the case. We'll see if that helps.

Make sure that the locking block is tight. Mine started to walk out and I had tons of problems.

Also cci mini-mags are the best combo with the heavier spring. Another thing is to make sure you keep it extremley EXTREMELY clean for the first 500 rounds after that the break in period is over and it seems to work very well.

Biggest problem with them is the mainspring is so heavy it actually screws up cycling the gun. It slows it down to much so make sure youn lube up that contact point.

let me know any other questions

I have gotten 4 to work flawlessly as a 22 can get

I had one for a while. Had the best "feel" of any gun I've ever had, but it had major feed problems! The trigger was pretty awful, too. I used Rip's solution.

You should try talking to the guys at Bill's North...I know they are pretty well versed in these types of issues...
