Speedloader for a Colt I Frame

Does anybody know if the cylinder on a Colt I frame (357) is the same size as another common revolver? I am looking for a couple speed loaders for a gun my father has and I can not find them listed for an I frame.

Which model is it? The I frames had a few different models built on them and some use different sized speedloaders

Not sure, it is a 357, 6 shot,4 inch barrel and it was a sheriffs gun. That is all I can tell you right now. I know nothing of revolvers so this is strange territory for me.

Python? Trooper? Any of those names ring a bell?

Should be rollmarked on the barrel...

The original barrel was removed and a python barrel was fitted. The frame does not match the python barrel but it works and shoots great. I will see if he has the original barrel still.

My L frame speedloaders fit my Python. I have some marked 586 that fit both the S&W and the Colt. I have some speedloaders marked PYT that also fit both.
