Top Three Carry Guns

Postby fatboy97 on Sun Aug 21, 2011 10:44 am

You've seen a lot of "What's the best 9mm?", "What's the best carry?", etc, etc, etc....

I have a number of guns in my collection... like I'm sure most of you. I'd like to know what your top three carry guns are!!!

Me: Glock 26, Springfield XDsc9, and a S&W 442... in NO specific order.

G19, 5" Kimber, P7 about in that order.

Carry the G19 every day, the Kimber for certain occassions(usually to prove I don't always carry a glock), and the P7 when dressing formal.

I carry an M&P 9L and 9c. I've got a standard M&P 9 on order, honestly the 9L is more of a niche weapon. The standard M&P 9 is easier to find, and there are more holster options for it.

I also have a two S&W J-frame .38 revolvers that see a lot of use.

If I wanted to carry only a revolver, it would be my S&W Model 64 (.38 special). It's converted to double-action only.

I guess this is all depends on the person really, I prefer my beretta px4 storm during the winter, My Pt140 during the summer, and my bersa when I go running/Mowing the lawn

Anyone consider the training differences using multiple carry weapons?

I put 10-15k rounds down range with glocks, but 1911 and P7 are both around maybe 200 per year.
Were I to switch to a j-frame, I wouldn't be able to hit ****.

High, Medium and Low

Glock 30

Kel-Tec PF-9

Kel-Tec .380

The Kel-Tecs have the same style CT laser

The PF-9 and the Glock have the same brand / style holster.

The little .380 was the one I was carrying when I needed to "shoot to stop the threat" to protect myself from "Great Bodily Injury" so that's my favorite gun.

SW 642 (38 Special +P)

1911 4 inch (45 ACP)

Why is a third choice needed?
Because I care, I carry.

I don't have a third... yet. When I do it will probably be a pocket pistol of some sort.
