Springfield XDm 5.25 in .40

Postby shooter115 on Wed Sep 21, 2011 8:23 am

Well the 5.25 is out in 9mm and .45. Anyone out there heard a solid release date for it in a .40. Just sold my HK USP.40 last night to fund it. I'm really hoping they get it out before the XDm mag deal expires at the end of Novemer.

I believe you could be wrong on the 45 unless that is a surprise release. Because as of 2 months ago 9mm was the only model they were going to offer to start with.

Once the 40 comes out I will be selling off my GLOCKS and switching over.

Well SOB I am wrong, wow I am going to make a much more diligent effort to sell off some crap I have so I can have funds for a couple new XDM's.

Very cool.

Yea, I don't know what they are hoping to gain with being all hush-hush about it. A Springfield rep I spoke to labor day weekend knew the .45 would be out in the next couple weeks (though they eweren't advertising it) and the .40 would follow, but he didn't know when.

I just want to know if it's going to be next week or next year. Nothing over on XDtalk.com or the Springfield website for a tenative release date either. I've got the itch to pick up a new piece and hopfully shoot it before the snow flies. No indoor range over here so winter is a long, dreary, miserable experience.

I wonder why they would release the 45 before the 40. 45 is not as common for competition as far as I know. It is generally all 9mm and 40 S&W.

Well like I said, the push is on to drum up funds on my end.

Not to mention as non PA residents, we wouldn't be able to purchase it without having them ship it to a MN FFL.
