I like the nickel finishing. Can someone direct me to someone in the Twin Cities area?

Not sure about nickel plating but I have been doing some duracoating on a few guns for fun and very impressed with it. Picked up the Shake and Spray kit for $30 + shipping. They have stainless, and titanium color choices (not sure if available with Shake and Spray). Easy cheap finish and from what I have read and see it's damn tuff.

+1 on the duracoating...

I used to do it professionally, I have seen a lot of guns that turned out great, and personally have guns with 5 years of hard carrying with little wear.

It is impressive to say the least. Just don't do it on revolvers.

if you're dead-set on plating, AAA Metal Finishing. it's a father/son team that run the place, if i remember correctly, Raul and Raul Jr (just Junior). i don't think they are the owners, but they handle all the shipping and receiving, QA, and i believe the base polishing. i made a few deliveries there when i was doing the courier thing a few years ago. those guys know their ****! i've seen, firsthand, the quality of work they produce. they did a bumper from a '58 Caddy, and took before and after shots. before, lots of pitting, and a few patches put on. i SAW the after, in the shop before it was picked up, and it looked AMAZING.

There is a guy in Saint Paul who does nickel plating does a great job on guns you must fully strip it and bring him the parts quick turnaround the company is JD plating on 2124 Gilbert Ave I believe you should ask for Gary tell him a friend of yours Had some guns done by him and they should take good care of you. Plus I didnt have to file or remove material to reassemble.
