Kind of new to ccw but been shootin for years. Currently have a Ruger P944 .40 , Taurus PT92 9mm & a Ruger Blackhawk (scoped) for deer hunting. All are a little to big for ccw (duh the scoped gun) what are some recomenditations for IWB

I was told they are a limited use gun (1500 rounds) I have had my eye on one but after hearing that I got a little spooked. Any truth to that ?

I've put about 600 rounds through mine so far with no unusual wear. I don't think that the 1500 round claim has any merit.

Your best bet is to go rent some guns or find a friend with all different types of CCW firearms that you can test out. In the long run, you will save more money that way.

People will suggest what they know and that may not be for you and their recommendation may not be worth much as they have only shot limited number of firearms.

I have my favorite carry gun type (LEM, no external safety, DAO, etc.) but when I take friends and family out with 15 different handguns to the range, they will never enjoy what I shoot. It is best to rent some popular handguns and then see where you want to go from there.

Agree with solidgun.
Read a lot, rent a few, pester your shooting friends to let you try theirs. What I like, you may not.

I know a guy who has well over 2000 rounds though his PF9. No problems... And kel tec does have a life time warranty for the original owner.

+1 on the cm9. Similar sub compacts are the pf9, and lc9. If you want to spend some cash you can go for the mk9, kimber solo, a boberg, or a roborough. Or just get a glock 19 or 26. There's a ton of options, shoot a bunch and find one or two you like.

Glock 26 or Springfield XD9sc... two very good subcompact handguns... 100% reliable and to me that is the most important part of any carry weapon.

This.
My preference is a J frame in .357Mag. I wouldn't recommend it for someone as a first compact handgun or for someone who is recoil sensitive though. Full power loads and relatively low mass can make for a bumpy ride. Mrs. C. prefers a Kahr CW9.

Kahr CM9/PM9/MK9 would be (and is) my choice... I carry a PM9 and/or MK9 every day, great shooters and very well made.
