My Kahr PM9 is the second most carried handgun that I have, the first is a Kimber PRO CDP. I have shot my PM9 maybe more than others, carry it a lot and also use it as my back up weapon in classes that a secondary weapon is required. I currently carry Corbon 115 gr. ammo and have had zero problems with it, but is not that pleasant to shoot as far as perceived recoil goes. My PM9 will also feed Speer Gold Dot, cheap Federal ball and cheap Winchester ball ammo with no problem. When I use my PM9 as a backup in a class, I shoot the cheap stuff and have had no problem with Win or Fed. My PM9 will not feed Winchester Silver Tip more than 6 or so rounds without malfunctioning, this was ammo that I tested years ago when the Kahr PM9 first came out an it plain did not work in my Kahr.
Bottom line, my Kahr PM9 with my current Corbon load is a combo that I have the confidence in to do what I need it to do. My preference in a handgun would be a combat firearm in .45 acp, but if restricted as everyday life can be, my PM9 with a proven ammo is a comforting preference.
