I have many that I enjoy...but the one that gets to the range most often is a Webley/ Enfield revolver converted to moon clip bound 45ACP.

Dated 1916 and heavy as a brick.

All sorts of smoky goodness!

For Mojo factor I'd have to say my SIG P210-6. For general shooting I'd say my SIG P229 Carry Elite in stainless (9mm). For competition (I hate it but I shoot the best with it) my Glock 21SF.

I agree, surprising for a Glock fanboy like myself, but these are reliable guns.

I see almost everyone has listed centerfires, but my favorite handgun is my Ruger Single-Six followed closely by the round butted S&W model 34 kit gun. I grew up in the country and had the Ruger with me all the time, whether in the field or around the farm. Its grip just feels at home in my hand. I don't carry it now but I can always count on its reliability and my ability to shoot it well. My favorirte centerfire is my accurate CZ 75B.

For range fun, CZ75D PCR. For Zombie Island, G21.

Walther PPQ. It is still honeymoon new, but it beats out my previous favorite, Ruger MKII bull barrel.

With a grip safety that's almost in the white from use my Colt 1991A1 gets my vote.

I've had a bunch of good handguns. A number of which got sold or traded and are missed. Others not so much. Own some that I like very much due to some combination of ergonomics/quality/accuracy/whatever. Some that are cherished because of connections to friends and relatives who've passed on.

However. [deep breath]
I know this is going to set me up for all kinds of jabs about "compensating", but my favorite is either my .500 S&W or my BFR .45-70 (not the Century in the middle as much as the other two; it's just too stinking big/clumsy to be fun). Touching them off typically trips my giggle switch and I invariably leave the range in a better mood than I had when I got there if I'm shooting them. That's all there is to it: they're fun.

My Sig P220 SAO with 5" Match barrel. Total reliability, great trigger and accuracy.

For me its pretty tough to pick a favorite as I am quite fond of them all. For this post I decided to reach deep into the back of the safe past the hand cannons, the 1911, and the modern plastic and chose one for the recoil sensitive folks. This is my Colt Jr. Colt chambered in .22 short from the early sixties. It is complete with the original box, manual, cleaning rod, and receipt. It is a hoot to shoot and has been completely reliable and fairly accurate as well though I imagine the knock-down power is minimal at best.
