Carry gun cerakote vs. parkerized

I've tried to google this as much as I can and haven't come up with any clear winner. Maybe the MN specific climate will give a better idea of where I should be going with this. People here dress differently than FL or AZ carriers.

Which has better durability for every day carry.
I'm not looking at chrome. For one, I'm not into it. For two, I don't want to carry something shiny.
If it's a wash between the two coats for durability, then is one easier to have redone or touched up?

Thanks

One word: stainless.

If you have a problem with shiny, There's various levels of polish from matte gray to mirror. The beauty is, if you get a bit of corrosion (it does happen), sand & buff it to the polish, or lack thereof, that you want, and you're done. No need to send it off somewhere.

Lots of great finishes have hit the market in recent years. Some of the black finishes wear like iron.

What are you refinishing?

Looking at a PF-9. I hear the daily rubbing will win against most any finish eventually.
