Modified The LC9

Postby carrypilot on Mon Dec 17, 2012 7:56 pm

Hello All,

I recently purchased my LC9 and while it is a great gun it was missing a few things. The bluing Ruger uses wears away pretty quickly so I de-blued and polished the barrel with Flitz Polish and a dremel. I then ordered a stainless guide rod from Galloway Precision and I sent in my trigger bar and hammer for the shorter trigger pull modification (The stock trigger pull is waaaay to long). I'm going to take it to the range tomorrow and report back on the trigger pull but my initial impressions are the Galloway trigger mod shortens it up to almost half of what it used to be. I also removed the magazine safety as it was driving me nuts. I personally loved the polish look as it makes the LC9 look much more expensive than it really is.

Here is a before and after video of the Trigger Pull (not mine but same mod)

Does it still have that fake reset click?

The LCP and a lot of small guns have a felt "click" that seems like a reset, but is not, you have to go to the next "click"

Drives the gamer in me who feels for the click NUTS.
