Has anybody seen one, or something similar locally? The wifey wants a 1911 of her own.

A few 1911's, two crazy boxers, a fast car and a half fast driver.

When you find one let me know what you think, my wife has been talking about a 9mm 1911 for months.

I got the Mrs a 3.5" LW Springer in 9mm, and that's been a hoot.

STI's are great, but very difficult to locate in our market. My wife purchased a EMP and she has been very happy with it.

We had an EMP, but she didn't like it that much. She loves my full size 1911 when I load "powder puffs" for her to shoot.

Get a Rock Island Tactical. They're great. I have the 3" and 5". Its the same as the Spartan, without the STI componants.
When I see five weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy.

I have a Spartan V in 9mm, and it's been a great pistol in the 10 months or so I've owned it. Very pleasant to shoot, accurate, and reliable.
Shoot me a PM if your wife would like to try it out....

Same here. My hand loads are very mild, in my full size charles daly. The daly has been flawless, but I'd like to climb higher up the food chain with my next 1911.

You might try contacting that Bullseye range and storage outfit up by Harris; I believe they've had Spartans in there every time I've been in the place, although I dunno about the exact version you're looking for.
