I sold my AR-15 today to a local guy for $1200 cash. Figured I didn't need two of them in the safe. Used the money to buy these more practical defense tools...

I like the trigger on the LCR a lot. Never tried the Governor. Been trying to stay out of the GS lately. Starting to get to the range more as BPR gets more lanes going.

This is my first Smith and Wesson revolver. The trigger seems really good! Can't wait to shoot these new guns!

Nice buys! Haven't shot the Governor yet, but the LCR is absolutely on my short list of awesome guns I need to have someday. I've heard the LCR in .357 can be a bit of a beast to control at first, I'd be interested to hear your experience. Let us know how they shoot!

Just picked up a box of .38 special for the LCR (going to start off with a standard load to see how well it shoots), and I also picked up a Winchester Comb pack of .45 Colt/.410 shot shell. Should work well. I'm really glad I bought the Governor over the Judge. Can't wait to shoot them both!

I have literally been shopping for a snubbie for two months. The only carry gun I have now is an alsakan which is actually surprisingly concealable with winter clothing. Come summer it ain't gonna fly. After holding and dry firing multiple guns I always seem to come back to the LCR. I love that hogue grip but can't stand the ones that have the laser on em. Hopefully I will be able to scrounge up enough cash to get one before It gets warm! Let us know how it goes, I'm also interested in knowing how that beast shoots...

I can assure you it is a lot of fun. Just something about having that much fire power in a snubbie. I have only shot it a couple of times but at that 5-8 yard range you can shoot pretty quick. I am more accurate than I thought I would be in single action as well. I would recommend one. At first it seems a little heavy but you get used to it. It has been my EDC for a couple months now. Usually when I carry i'm just out and about doing errands so it's really not a challenge to conceal under a winter coat, it also doesn't weigh much more than a lot of full size 1911s. I have a Stoner shoulder holster on the way. Won't get it till February.

are you saying you wouldn't? i've been looking at the S&W Nightguard with bad intentions and dirty thoughts, 44 mag of course. the 357 is sweet, but it aint a 44 mag!

Skinny guy too, in warm weather. He had some custom speedloaders made for it - 'cause, you know, 5 rounds of .500 mag ain't going to get it done. I could think of more comfortable things to carry, but to each their own.
