Nice. How is the .45 auto in a revolver? I've got a 686 that I usually shoot .38 through for practice, +p for things that go bump. Is the .45 somewhere in between +p and .357?

The 45 does have a bump. Given the frame size and weight I think it is about equal to a 357, more of a push verses a snap though.

It a blast to shoot, I've always wanted one, mostly becasue with the moon clips it is unique and it rounded out my handgun collection.

I'm waiting for a revolver event to show her off. Might have to find a holster for her so I can play the steel game.

I was gonna get some .45 Super brass but John was out, no surprise there. (For my 625JM not a Glock 30).

I DID manage to get a bunch of 40g Nosler for the 5.7 and 6 lbs of powder. Bullets, scarce. Primers, John said there might be one or two on the floor

Yeah the 686 is an L frame and the 625 is an N frame. There is a significant weight difference. I would compare it to shooting an all steel 1911 with 230gr FMJs. The push is the right description. It's not unpleasant like a J-frame with 38sp +P, but it's not like shooting a twin stack 9 either. I like shooting mine. The recoil doesn't bother me one bit...
