Brand new magazines can often have problems before being fully broken in. Mec Gar mags are fantastic, and they should work fine after they've been exercised a little. You could try the following:
Get a small paint stirring stick, and use it to depress and release the magazine follower inside the magazine body. It helps to put a small notch on the bottom of the stick so it stays on the edge of the follower without slipping off. Fully depress and release the follower 100-200 times. This will polish the friction surfaces of the follower and the inside of the mag body, allowing for smoother and faster feeding. Failure to feed malfunctions with new magazines are most often due to microscopic burs and roughness that slow the feeding of ammo. Friction polishing these surfaces will maximize the proper function of your mags. When your done, simply depress the follower a little and blow out the inside of the mag with compressed air to remove any loose material.
Hope this helps!
