Smith and Wesson 22A 5.5" barrel.

Sold my snowmobile last night, and use some of the money to buy this from my local pawn shop today on my lunch break...

Smith and Wesson 22A with the 5.5" barrel. Always wanted to try one. Coworker has the 7" barrel version and says it's a good shooter. The price was right for it. $225 brand new, and they come with two magazines from the factory.

Congrats. You'll enjoy it. I've never owned one but used one extensively in my youth. I prefer the Rugers but I never had an issue with 22a

Now if .22LR ammo would make a come back. At least you can get magazines for this gun. Midway has them in stock for $23.99ea limit two. Gun already came with 2 so I should be good there. Should be a fun plinker for this summer.

One of my favorites!

Top it with a red dot and you have a definite giggle gun!

This is the pistol that I recommend to new shooters.

What a great .22. Way better than the Neos, and shoots like a much more expensive gun.

Congrats.

Just shot it for the first time when I got home. Talk about a tack driver. Awesome pistol. Super impressed!

A 22A was the first gun that Mrs. C. and I bought together. It never fails to produce a grin.

Smith and Wesson 22A 5.5" barrel.

I have one of those that I purchased used from Cabela's, best .22 pistol that I own/ have ever shot. Mine eats everything. I put a Burris Fastfire on top of mine for hunting and target shooting. When I got mine the front and rear sights were both black, so I painted the front sight orange. Helped immensely for shooting.

Hey squirrel, how about that 300+ yard punch you took with it in SD? You may have been holding at the sun, but it hit on the 3rd or 4th try... That's what I call luck. Or maybe the 22A has mystical powers. Either way, they come with a fantastic trigger compared to other 22's in its class.

I've been watching alot of review videos on youtube about this gun, and I have to say most are pretty positive. The take down of this gun is way more easy than my Ruger Mark III, and I do like the weight also. Make for a near zero recoil gun. I have a feeling my friends are going to like shooting this one. And should be another great tool at getting new people into the shooting sports, and teaching them about firearm safety.

Video of me shooting it. Also note that the camera is on a tripod, and there is no one in danger of being aimed at or shot...
