Dream Handgun?

If you could have a handgun that you've always thought was unobtainable, what would it be? I hate to admit this, but I think mine would be a Stechkin.

A custom made titanium slide and titanium frame (STI) Commander size 1911.

Wilson had STI make them 100 frames adn slides adn made a very (50 guns) limited run of these things, about the same empty weight as a scandium j-frame with 8 rounds of 45 acp.

That is a dream carry gun for me. Might be a bit much to shoot a lot but what a carry gun. :D

I don't know a lot about rare handguns, but I know this is one of them...and I know I'd sure like one:

Bren Ten

Ooooh...the Bren is on my list as well. Not really as a shooter, since they have some issues, but they're pretty collectible. I opted for a Tanfoglio Witness when I was looking for a 10MM shooter, but I'd pick up a Bren if I ever chanced across one in great shape!

+1, an early blue Python would be nice as well, the problem I have with the idea of a "dream" handgun for me is I have so many dreams. :D

The hstorian in me craves pieces like that goofy stamped pistol the allies made in WWII for the resistance movements in occupied Europe, the name of which I can never remember. A Nambu would also be interesting. None of these would be shooters, but rather collectors.

For daily carry there are (at least IMNSHO) only two guns for carry, a 1911 or if a smaller gun is required a j-frame. Although if Cobb were to mysteriously decide to give me one of his Rohrbaughs I certainly would not turn it down and that would probably replace my j-frame as a ultra covert carry gun.

See more dream guns. Damn you David look what you got going in my mind, now I'm thinking about all the cool guns I wish I could afford, which being a public school teacher ain't many.

Since it's only a dream, I'd want a gun that could defy the laws of physics and have auto-aim and an always right decision making module.

Jeff,

The cheap stamped gun you're talking about is called a Liberator:

I saw one a few years back in its original box (the one it was dropped to resistance fighters in), unopened. It came with an x-ray to prove the pistol and ammo were inside!

And Benny, I'd love to have a 210-1. I was able to get a 210-6 a number of years ago, but the grips and blued finish of the 210-1 would be highly preferable! Anyway, the 210 is the finest pistol I've ever shot.

Has to qualify as a hand gun, I don't see a shoulder stock... :P :P

So it takes two hands, or has an option for two..........
no shoulder stock, no forward grip.......

afterall, it did say "Dream" not Design............. :rotf:
