My first 1911

Postby RJWesleyIII on Fri Aug 02, 2013 8:06 pm

Been wanting this gun since they came out. Well, I finally found it last Sunday in PA at a gun shop. Just picked it up from Hoffeys today. I did a smith and Alexander mag well, vz grips, turbo screws, and bought an extra 8 rnd mag! Can wait to get out and see what she can do!

My first 1911

Nice blaster! Ruger did a nice job on their 1911, Classy looking gun I love that they went with no front cocking serrations now if only all the other manufacturers could figure that out.

I may have done my research :). Went to OGC today to break her in. Here is a pic of my first mag through the gun! Very happy! Can anybody move the front sight for me? It's off just a hair.

Nice shooting! I have pretty much the same grips and magwell on my first 1911 but they came from the factory that way.

The pistol range is closed. Where did you put the moveable target on the 25?
I've had two Rugers, sold them both.

Did you shoot at 25 yards or since that range now has moveable targets, did you move one of them closer?
What distance were you shooting at? Were you shooting from a rest or off hand?
Details dude....details??
