New, improved Ruger LCP

Postby grousemaster on Wed Aug 07, 2013 10:30 am

The new ones have a lighter trigger and different sights...has anyone seen one? I'm interested in replacing mine as they seem to have addressed the two major downfalls....I bet the slide finish still sucks though, gotta wait for a hard chrome or nickel plated version to suit my tastes.

They are bigger than the original more in line with the size of a lc 9. I'll stick with my original for this reason.

No need to be sorry! I didn't know anything about this until a couple days ago either....looks like some nice upgrades! Standard on all LCP's now.

A 'little bit' bigger sights. Shoots nice for mouse gun.
I haven't noticed the trigger.
There is no dash after the 3 digit prefix as before. Easier to tell the new ones from the old.

Looks like the hammer is set back quite a bit further, which shortens trigger travel needed for break.

The trigger is noticably better, breaks sooner and lighter. Big improvement.

Told my boss about the "improved" LCP. He said "Did Ruger discontinue it?" He hates the gun with a passion...

I just got mine 3 weeks ago, love the gun, shoots great. Even fits my big hands! Not crazy about the sights, but I"m gonna fix that with some sight paint.

Just replaced my 738 with the new LCP, maybe that's why I didn't notice the trigger.
I always get a kick out of people that complain about a hard trigger and lack of sights on a 2.5" pocket gun.
Although I do like to practice with it, it's a pull it out of my pocket and shoot type practice.

His buddy had one and never could get run. Put a sour taste in his mouth.

Weird. I've had two that run like a top.....through hundreds and hundreds of rounds. My current LCP has about 600 rounds through it without one stoppage.
