Glock 21 and 21SF- What's the difference?

Postby 45Badger on Sat Oct 19, 2013 8:21 pm

I've got a chance to trade for a 21SF. Never seen or handled one. How does it vary from a standard 21?

Depends not he exact model of 21SF , they have had a few...

In general, the biggest difference is that the grip is smaller, not as small as a 17/22 but close.

I have the 30SF which uses the same magazines and as in the picture it's just the dimension from the front of the grip to the back. It's going to depend on your hand. SF fits me perfectly.

Just a shorter distance from rear to front of grip. It makes a nice difference. The "SF" frame has the same grip dimension as the Gen 4 G21 frame with no back straps attached. The G21 gen 3 feels huge, the "SF" makes it feel just right IMO. There's only been 4 models of "SF" and it only means one thing, "short frame". Available only in the 10mm/45 offerings. ( models 21,30,20,29)

Original release of the 21SF had three variants: standard mag release and Glock Rail, Ambi mag release and Glock rail or Ambi mag release and 1913 Picatinny rail which was quickly discontinued.
