Beretta Storm issue

Looking for a little info if anyone has had the same issue. Today I had a student with a brand new 9mm Storm (never been fired) every round would hang up on ejecting. Casing would get flipped up and slide would close before casing left the ejection port. We tried another mag, different brand of ammo and different shooters, etc. 14 rounds and all did the same. I sent the student back to Gander were he bought it Friday, but just wondering if anyone else had seen this problem before and what was the cause.

Never seen that, I've shot 2-3 new ones(I use to be on Beretta pro staff). I know this is going to sound strange but was it field stipped cleaned and oiled. Sounds like it may have been shelf queen or got junked up some how.

Brand new - only had it 2 days from the store. I did a quick field strip and CLP clean with it and it still had the issues. I was mystified as to the cause. I have never had issue's with them before . I am waiting to here what he finds out from Gander Mtn.

There's his first mistake...he got it from Gander. Hope he got a Pro-Plan with that

All jokes aside, I have not seen that with any of the storms I've shot. I did see a guy who had that issue this week with an M&P Pro 9. It's on it's second trip back to S&W.

Sounds like a problem with the extractor and/or ejector. Hopefully, he'll get it resolved soon; it's frustrating to purchase a brand new firearm and not have it work properly from the get-go.

FWIW, I have a full-size .40 PX4 and have never had any extraction/ejection issues with it. I would, however, like to get a stronger recoil spring for it, as spent brass gets flung into low earth orbit.

We tried different ammo so junk so better ans some really good stuff, all same results.
I always feel bad for people who go to our local Gander Mtn when just across the street is a Scheels, who will price match and are normally cheaper anyway and also provide excellent Customer service. As well as have informed sales staff.

I carry the px4 compact and it has eaten everything I've fed it, including some very dirty chicom 9 mm that smelled like manure. Never a hiccup. I always thought of these pistols as under appreciated compared to the Glocks, the M&P 9's and the XD's. Its a rotating barrel system which works like a charm normally but if there was something in there which would prevent the barrel from rotating normally... I can see how that would cause a problem or two.

Sorry about the issues. I have a PX4 Storm that's never given me a single bit of grief. However, I did have a trigger job done on it combined with a SS guide rod.
