Revolvers and winter

Postby ZardozCZ on Fri Dec 27, 2013 9:57 pm

I just got some range time at Delano Sportsmen's Club with my GP100. It's my first time with the revolver in the snow, and I LOVE not having to grovel in the snow to collect my spent cartridges! I guess I'll be shooting a lot of 357 this Winter. I'm glad I like this new gun, with the fiber optic sights I just installed, I can see to aim pretty well, and enjoy shooting it even more now.

So maybe revolvers aren't for everyone, but for outdoor ranges in the winter, they're a natural for reloaders.

Who's been leaving 45 brass in the snow, and where, I need a few hundred more cartridges in 45, heh heh.

I'll be shooting my S&W model 1917 (.45acp) and Taurus 905 (9mm) revolvers quite a bit this winter. Not only do I not have to chase the brass, but it's also clipped together for easier handling. :D

MXGreg
Can you give a more detailed review of the 905?
Thanks

Wow, I shoot a GP100 at Delano too but I pretty much go to indoor ranges in the winter though.
