Pretty Girl Is Finally Home

Postby sawgrass on Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:13 pm

Alchemy Custom Weaponry has been working on this gun for nearly a year.
My initial impression is that it was worth the wait! Range report soon.

It was made in May of 1991 and had about 50 rounds through it when I sent it to Rob at ACW.
The only thing that is going to improve it now is a little honest carry wear :D

Here is a BEFORE pic. I just figured out if you click on these pictures they 'open' and improve a little bit.

I don't usually shoot 1911's... but when I do, I choose this one. :)

Nice addition to the family, congrats!

Looks awesome!
Did you just buy that beautiful firearm, or are you trying to sell that piece of crap?

Pretty Girl, definitely a keeper.

What's the deal with the hyper recessed target crown in the oversized barrel bushing?

Thanks guys. I hope it shoots like it looks and I'll find out later today.

Rip Van Winkle, the barrel is flush cut, reversed crowned.
The bushing isn't over sized. The unusual thing is that it in fact has a bushing.
Most CCO sized guns don't have one.

Thanks Kate! You are welcome to shoot it.

It shot great. Fed it about 200 rounds of various 45acp reloads and it ate them all.
It's a keeper.

Nice job on the pics also. Really hard to show how nice a great blued gun looks in pictures.

Thanks.

The range trip went well. I shot about 200 rounds of various reloads with different bullets in them and it ate them all!
Things got even better when Rodentman who was there let me shoot his Guncrafter model 4 :D
Good thing this Compact is my last 1911.

I mean it this time.

Yes it was a fun shoot and I was glad to meet Sawgrass and Wrench at OGC. I plan on going there more often now that the weather has improved.
