.45 recommendations

Have been shooting a 9mm (Glock 19) and a .40 cal XDM for several years. Am considering a .45, not for concealed carry or competition. Any recommendations?

The only right answer = 1911.

+1 No, really if you buy one 1911 you will buy more 1911's.

One 1911? Is that even possible?

I've got 5 and still think I'm missing 1 or 2.

Since you're familiar with the XDm platform in .40, just get the XDm in .45. I have one and love it! While not a 1911 it is tops for a polymer pistol...eats anything with no failures of any kind. :)

So the only right answer = 1911s! :)
Did you just buy that beautiful firearm, or are you trying to sell that piece of crap?

He said 'a' so 1911 is correct. Once the seed is planned then the answer going forward is more 1911s.

Just because for some reason, I feel the need to be snarky at the 1911 people, I hear HK makes a nice .45...and it goes bang every time you pull the trigger...

.45 recommendations

Buds guns carries a very good quality 45 for low buck for the bang. SAR K2 45. 14+1 CZ clone made in Turkey. Bought one for $355 but they've crept up a bit. It's replacing a CZ 97B.

I like a fuller grip of a double stack, and the round count doesn't hurt a bit. Sort of like a Beretta 92 grip but with CZ ergos.

Just a thought.

Early 20th century Webley converted from Brittish .455 to .45 ACP with full moonclips is my favorite. S&W 625 if you have to go all modern...
