The cylinder could still jam in mid-rotation...

Wow, I have had a few Kimbers, still own 2, and carry one almost dialy, don't have problems at all.

Maybe you guys with the FTF issue should have a competent instructor watch you shoot, limp wristing can cause those same problems. ;)

It's a Kimber, therefore greatly over priced.

Not a fair generalization. My wife and I have 4 Kimber products (2 rifles, 2 1911's) and have not have an issue. Maybe out of your price range but not overpriced.

My springfields, smiths, glock, cz, colt, rugers, brazo, para and coonan autos all seem to function for me. I've also run walthers, berrettas, dan wessons, brownings, eaa, sig and taurus without issues.

I've owned 2 Kimbers years and years ago, neither ran 100% and both are gone. After 2 they will never see a dime from me. Based on the time I spend on the range and observations of other shooters I see more FTF with kimbers than any other brand. Only others I've seen with some issues are styer and keltec, and even those were less frequent.

What is the break in round count? 500 like the 1911's?

FYI, I've shot some really nice Kimber 1911's and would gladly own one.

Oh and I just looked at the pictures, I think it's ugly.

That's not fair. Not every gun I buy is ugly and I don't buy every ugly gun that hits the market.

Probably true, but I bet you can come with more than 6 pictures of ugly guns you own.
