Looks awesome! Is that a fastfire? Did you do anything to install it more than what the pamphlet said that it came with?

I used plate #1 which lined up perfect. I used the Glock supplied screws to mount the plate to the slide. The Fastfire III supplied mounting screws are not the same size as the holes in the plate, nor are the Glock provided screws long enough. So I purchase 3mm x 8 screws and had to file a few thousandths off the length in order to insure they did not extend beyond the thickness of the plate. I used a touchup bluing pen on raw end of the screws, added a drop of blue Loctitie on each and mounted the optic.

I did confirm with Burris the screws size being slightly smaller was adequate and they confirmed the pins hold the sight for horizontal movement the screws simple hold the optic down to the plate and the smaller screws provide more than enough strenght.

Did you find any torque specs by chance, or finger tight using the supplied wrench? I'm also wondering if it would be a good idea to put a thin layer of loctite between the slide and the mounting plate to help bed it a little bit.

Glock recommends oiling the plate lightly before installing. Assume that is reduce the risk of corrosion. No torque spec on any of the screws were provided so yea I used hand tighten firmly.

I'd not use the Loctite on the flat surfaces, the plate is locked front to back by the milled slot, it has a key in one corned to prevent side play and has 2 screws with threadlocker holding it down.

I'll shoot a few hundred rounds and keep an eye in things.

Excellent! Update if you have any troubles. I've heard rumors of the optics coming off, but that seems to be spread by the guys that mill glocks for optics from all that I can tell.

A number of them also try to use the Glock supplied screws also and don't confirm the thread depth. In my case the supplied screws would have only engaged 2-3 threads Not enough clearly.

Installed a ZEV V4 connector, competition springs and ejector housing. While I had it apart I hand shined(as in lightly polished without grinding) the contact surfaces.

Overall very nice improvement, dropped trigger to slightly over 3lbs, still has some pre-travel but manageable.

Ain't no 1911 trigger but very clean for a striker fire.

Very cool! I've been debating a zev, but it's a lot of money for a trigger...Image

I did not do the whole trigger, just the connector, springs and ejector. $50ish for the whole group. I'm thinking about the pretravel adjust part but you are right it is a bit of coin. If you want you can give mine a try to see if it is what you want.

It is around $150.00 for a Glocktriggers.com (The Edge) trigger, and it has an over travel adjustment. With the kit you get all new springs, trigger bar and trigger housing. It will give you around a 3-4 pound trigger pull, and it is a drop in.

Indeed, have had a 19 MOS for a couple weeks now and think it may be my new favorite. The old eyes are really appreciating the rmr and trijicon suppressor height sights for co-witness.

Was surprised how fast thunderjohn @ southwest arms was able to get me the 19 MOS

I have a Blue Label coupon sitting in the drawer and am seriously considering a 34. How do you like it with that Burris Fastfire now after several months?

Would you do it again?
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.
