god I love my PMR-30

Postby hopkins on Sun Feb 12, 2017 12:48 am

I was at a friends home range today, and was shooting at b-27 targets. I managed to dump 60 rounds from two mags into the kill zone in just under a min and a half. The first mag was in about 20 seconds. I slowed down on the second mag on purpose. This is my house gun, and I know that a lot of people don't think much of a .22 mag as a defense round, but 60 rounds can chew through damned near anything.

Fun little guns, wish the grip was better contoured though.

Planning to buy a matching CMR?

I have a red dot on mine which adds weight to the slide. I have trouble with some ammo not cycling. What ammo do you find works best for you. I had some Hornady Critical Defense 45g which worked great but I can't find it any longer.

I have a red laser under the bbl, so it does not affect the slide dynamics. I like to use CCI 30 gr HP+V.

They recommend 40gr bullets.

I have tried about all the weights available, and mine works very well with most and very well with the 30's. Plus I like the velocity figures I'm getting even from a rather short bbl.
