That's cool. I used to use a Powerhead that held a .223 round. You screwed the Powerhead onto the spear, and shot it. When it impacted, it drove the firing pin forward and fired the bullet. I used it an several very aggressive Barracuda and on an 8'+ Bull Shark, that was in Full Attack mode.

I'd love to go harvest those Lion Fish with my Glock. Much faster and easier than cocking a speargun each time. My buddies down in Miami and the Fla Keys say they taste great. They hunt and shoot them with Hawaiian Slings. The Lionfish is decimating the reef fish, and have no natural enemies, except man.

Reminds me of shooting carp in flooded fields with my AK.

Try shooting them out of a jonboat with a shotgun..................... :twisted:

It is, even if you miss the concussion would sometimes cause the carp to float to the surface.
