P320

Postby PHATSPEED7x on Sat Dec 28, 2019 7:39 pm

Bring back a old thread.

My Sig Sauer P320 carry I had never got send in to sig for the recall. I ended up selling it and I let the new owner know about the recall.

Fast forward to yesterday, I saw a P320 carry 45ACP with night sights in the clearance case for $459.99. I buy it totally forgetting about the recall. I come across the recall while registering the gun for warranty. I put in the serial number. Sure ****. Hasn't been upgraded. I'll wait til after the new year and contact them to see how long turn around is, etc.

FYI It's illegal to sell an item that has been recalled and it opens you up to liability.

I would challenge that statement.

Especially since SIG termed it a "voluntary upgrade" rather than a recall. Semantic BS, of course, but sometimes terminology differences are legally relevant.

It's not even labeled a "recall" Sig did a really good job at making sure they covered their ass when coming out with this.
