I am a 1911 fan, but not a connoisseur.

I like odd stuff, maybe not as much as Rodentman... I got a RIA 9mm/22TCM, I can't hit the broad side of a barn with it...from the inside... It has never locked the slide back on an empty mag (apparently no RIA is capable of slide lock as shipped, they all require [free] replacement slide stops), it doesn't function with over 7 rounds in the mag... lots of problems, but I love it. The 22TCM is tons of fun, but I would also love 10mm also. Anything but .45 because I don't have anything in .45 and don't want to get into that caliber. If you're already invested in .45 then by all means get another one (or dare to be different and piss off the purists).

You will not piss off any purists with whiny crap like this because no one listens,
we understand that one that does not appreciate and expect a 1911 in .45* is a pervert
and usually prefers sheep and stump trained calves to women too............... :rotf:

* Coonan .357 is an acceptable alternate.................

I have a couple 1911s, one being a Rock Island that I got a few months ago. 500 rounds through it with an assortment of different mags and no problems. I'd have no problem recommending them.

How many 1911's do you currently own?

(No double stack 2011's, SA trigger only, small Browning 380 ACP frame size OK, any caliber OK)?

More than 17 for me.

You?
